SS./ 0198 /2001 14 August 2001 Re : The Explanation for the cause of the change in the Company's performance with respect of the 2nd quarter of 2001 financial statement of the Company ending 30 June 2001. Attn : President The Stock Exchange of Thailand Referring to Sansiri Public Company Limited's 2nd quarter of 2001 financial statement ending 30 June 2001, which reports a profit that varied more than 20%, compared to that of the same period of the previous year. With this regard, the Company would like to explain that in the 2nd quarter of 2000, the Company's net profit mainly came from debt restructuring, while in 2001 the Company has just started to realize the income from a housing project. Furthermore, the economic slow down in general has resulted in a drop of the Company's rental and service. These are the main reasons that has resulted in more than 20% variance of the profit of the Company and its subsidiaries when compared to the same period of the previous year.
