The Actions taken since the last report -Study the Year 2000 problems 01/03/1998 - 30/06/1998 -done- -Analyse and appraise the problems 01/05/1998 - 30/06/1998 -done- -Preliminary Test by Vendor 01/07/1998 - 31/07/1998 -done- Test of PC and its installed Software 01/07/1998 - 31/08/1998 -done- All company's PC can be used through the milinuim, provided that some of them has to be manually set up to cross the millenium. *Conclusion : All PC, and their installed Software have already passed the test. -Test the main system on IBM 01/09/1998 - 30/11/1998 -done- Main Computer by The result of the test us with our vendor. showed that the main operation system can handle the Y2K problems, but there were some sort adjustment of data entry procedures to be taken, such as instead of keying in 2 digits for AD. year, we had to key in 4 digits of which not the material adjustment. Management Analysis According to the report of our IT department , the Y2K problem does not impact our business operation , because the main computerised operation system of the company had been already passed the necessary inspection test on this problem. The result of the said inspection and test showed that the system was able to cope with the Y2K problem by only adjusting some data entry procedures. We have already instructed our IT department to closely monitor , adjust and disseminate the said procedure to the related parties to the main system. The next step which we prepare to seek for their confirmation regarding this subject were our banks and financial institutions rendering service to us in order to make sure that they could handle this Y2K properly and monitors them closely.
